Written by on January 26, 2023

It has been confirmed that the Uganda National Examinations Board (UNEB) will tomorrow Friday, January 27, 2023, release the Primary Leaving Examination (PLE) results.

Syaye Minister for Primary Education, Dr Joyce Moriku Kaducu, says the official release of the results will start at 11am at State House Nakasero in Kampala.

The education ministry also tweeted confirming the development.

PLE release confirmed. Friday, January 27, 2023 at 11am.”

Dr Kaducu says the release was postponed last week because the UNEB officials had not briefed the minister for education, Ms Janet Kataaha Museveni after it emerged that she had other engagements.

β€œIt was necessary to brief the minister first before the results are released.” She says.

A total of 832,810 candidates sat for the 2022 PLE on November 8 and 9 with 583,769 funded under the Universal Primary Education (PLE) programme and 249, 041 were non-UPE candidates.

1.9 per cent of the total registered candidates were females and 48.1 per cent were males.
