Maracha local gov’t driver commits suicide

Police in Arua district are investigating circumstances under which a driver attached to Maracha district local government committed suicide between 17 and 18 January, 2023.
John Adiba, 30, hanged himself from a tree in the compound at Ajono-yivu village in Eruba parish, Vura sub-county in Arua district, according to the West Nile Regional Police Publicist, SP Josephine Angucia.
The publicist said the matter was brought to the police attention by the deceased’s brother when he found Adiba’s lifeless body hanging from a mango tree on Wednesday at around 7am.
SP Angucia said a motor vehicle registration number LG 0316-03 was recovered from the scene and it is currently parked at Vura police station as inquiries under CRB 13/2-2023 continue.
She advised people to treasure life and always seek counselling in case of any challenges.
